Fine particles of ferromagnetic metal having a metal firmly adhered thereon are provided, which are produced by adding to an aqueous suspension of iron alpha -oxyhydroxide, an aqueous solution of a compound such as salt, metal salt, oxide, of a metal which is different from iron and exclusive of alkali metal (including an acidic or alkaline aqueous solution) and an aqueous solution of a ferrous salt, followed by oxidation reaction, filtration, water-washing and reduction. |
