PURPOSE: To obtain a small and simplified bankbook printer by an arrangement wherein means for carrying a bankbook while clamping from a print station to the rear feeds the page and magnetic read/write operation and optical read operation are performed on the print station thus shortening the bankbook carrying path. CONSTITUTION: A page feeding bail 46 descends to retain the central part of a bankbook 2 and then rollers 34b, 34b are driven downward. Consequently, one leaf of the bankbook 2 is bent into U-shape. A roller 14 is then turned by a motor 42 and the uppermost leaf 48 abutting against the roller 14 is turned over. One half of the roller 14 is made of rubber and the other half thereof is made of a metal. Print, magnetic read/write and optical read operations of a bankbook printer are performed entirely on a print station. Each head is positioned to provide a correct gap with reference to the height of a platen 70 and the overall height of a station assembly including the platen is adjusted depending on the thickness of the bankbook thus adjusting all head gaps simultaneously. |
