The invention relates to a device for disintegrating a chip flow when chips drop over the guide drum of a belt conveyor. The device consists of essentially parallel bars 1, which are arranged at a distance apart which allows passage of the chips and are attached to a drive mechanism 5. By means of the drive mechanism 5, the bars are set in motion transversely to the chip flow in order to agitate and disintegrate the chips, especially glued chips one from the other. <IMAGE>
