The present invention relates to a device including at least one input, to the midi or RS232 standard in particular, as well as outputs, a part of which is assigned to controlling mechanical entertainment equipment, and the other part of which relates to all musical equipment, in particular that answering the midi standard. In accordance with the invention, the signals originating from the outside are input then analysed by the said device, which then correlates, synchronously and without conflict, the sound generated by the musical equipment and the mechanical events of the entertainment equipment with these signals, however many of them there are. This correlation is in accordance with the definition which is given to it, particularly by means of software. The invention allows interactive entertainment with musical or mechanical animation in general, or both at once in accordance with external events. <IMAGE>
