PURPOSE:To copy a partial image having a desired color at an optional position by designating a color for each area in a designated color distribution pattern. CONSTITUTION:A partial image 20 is obtained by designating a range to a prescribed part of an image read by a scanner 7 or an image produced by an operator via a pointing device 13. Then the image 20 is divided into the data on a color pattern 21 and a gradation pattern 22. These divided data are registered into a hard disk 4. Then the pattern 21 registered in a square range designated by the device 13 is copied to an image where a blue image is added to the character data as a background. At the same time, the prescribed number of colors are also designated. As a result, the pattern 21 is copied with the color image data kept in the square range replaced with the data on a pattern of a designated color. In the same way, the pattern 22 is copied to an image to which a square range is designated. Thus the gradation within a square range is replaced with a designated gradation pattern. |
