An arrangement for preventing infant dermatitis contains a rod-shaped electronic moisture sensor (4) which is placed with its end carrying two electrodes in the middle region of a nappy (1) and the other end protruding from the nappy. The end of the sensor protruding from the nappy carries a battery, a signal converter and a visual or acoustic signal generator. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple arrangement reliably overcomes known disadvantages of conventional handling techniques and almost completely eliminates time for which skin is irritated.
