Bean paste which has good plasticity properties can be converted into granules in an advantageous manner by converting it into strips, without there being a danger of coagulation with the formation of a bulky composition since the bean paste is converted into strips by extrusion under such a vacuum that the bean paste, which is now in the form of strips, is immediately dried and cooled.
