METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREPARING RESIN FOAMED MOLDED BODY

PURPOSE:To obtain a resin foamed molded body reduced in the irregularity of a wt. by measuring the apparent density of preparatory foamed particles prior to filling a mold and controlling the cracking width of the mold on the basis of the measured result. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic foam molding machine, preparatory foamed particles are taken out of a stock hopper and apparent density measuring apparatuses 2 - 4 are arranged and a mold closing present position measuring apparatus 8 operated in connection with a mold opening and closing positioner 9 is arranged to the positioner 9. A calculator/cracking width automatic control apparatus 10 receives the measured value of the apparent density of a stock immediately before molding from a weighing device 3 while receiving a mold closing present position from the mold closing present position measuring apparatus 8 to calculate the optimum cracking width according to the program prepared beforehand to close the mold closing oil pressure supply line of a mold opening and closing hydraulic unit and mold clamping is stopped at the position of the optimum cracking width.
