Twin projector with common metal halide lamp - uses motor driven lamp and two projection axes with common cooling

Parabolic mirrors (8) and converging lenses (1), supported by units (3), are lined up with projection axes (7). Rotating mirrors (2) are mounted at the end of axes (7). The lamp (5), metal halide or similar, is mounted on a rack (9) driven by an electric motor (10) to position (A, B) which are in line with projection axes (7). Additionally the cooling air flow, provided by radial fan (4) and duct (6), is parallel to direction of movement of lamp (5). USE/ADVANTAGE - Projection systems. Allows LCD back light projection, multiple focal length lenses and special effect.
