PURPOSE:To simply and certainly improve strength of an opening part peripheral edge by fastening a ring material with rigidity along the whole periphery on the peripheral edge of the opening part to let gas flow in the inside of an air bag and on the inner peripheral surface side of a retainer. CONSTITUTION:An air bag 1 is devised to open an air bag base material 21 as gas supplied from an inflator 18 is flown in an opening part 12. Additionally, a reinforcing fabric 22 made of the same material as that of the air bag base material 21 is sewn on an opening part peripheral edge 13. Furthermore, a through hole 14 for a bolt 17 to fix the air bag 11 on a bag holder 19 is formed on the opening part peripheral edge 13. In this case, a ring material 15 with rigidity is arranged on the upper surface side inner peripheral edge of the opening part peripheral edge 13, and this is sewn in zigzag chain stitches with a sewing thread 23. Consequently, it is possible to reduce assembling manday an assembling cost respectively as well as simply and certainly improve the strength of the opening part peripheral edge 13. |
