PURPOSE:To simplify control wires and to make the device light in weight, by transmitting a phase amount controlling signal as an optical signal modulating laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A surface opposing to a primary power supply B of an array antenna A is provided with a plurality of photodetectors 4 corresponding to each antenna element 1. The photodetectors 4 receive modulated laser beam applied from the power supply B and the beam is converted into an electric signal. A driving circuit 5 detects phase information included in the laser beam obtained at the photodetectors 4, and the amount of phase shift indicated with this phase shift information is set to a phase shifter 3. On the other hand, the power supply B is provided with a local antenna element 7 excited with an oscillator 6, and transmission power is spatially supplied to local antenna elements 2 of the array antenna A. |
