PURPOSE:To obviate a work transfer means between a transfer line for a continuous travelling assembly line and that for an intermittent stop assembly line by partitioning vacant transfer truck travelling lines into plural zones, and controlling each transfer truck to move or stop the truck so as to prevent more than two transfer trucks from being in the same zone. CONSTITUTION:Vacant transfer truck travelling lines 39, 43 are partitioned into plural zones (1), (2)... and a controller 67 is installed on each transfer truck 1 and signals are transmitted between the controller 67 and a controller 68 installed on the ground side, via a signal line 65 and a current collector 66. When a zone just in front of a specific one where one transfer truck 1 is present is vacant the transfer truck 1 is moved at low speed, while when the zone is used the transfer truck 1 is stopped. When a predetermined number of zones ahead including that just in front of the specific one are all vacant, the transfer truck 1 in the specific zone is moved at high speed. To prevent more than two transfer trucks from being in the same zone (1), (2)..., each transfer truck is so controlled that the truck is moved or stopped according to whether or not the zone just in front of the truck is vacant. |
