PURPOSE:A metal working lubricant with excellent lubricating performance, obtd. by the thermal polymn. of a reaction product between castor oil or a specified castor oil compd. and an unsaturated fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:Castor oil (A), castor oil (B) to which is added alkylene oxide, a partial ester (C) with residual hydroxyl groups in the molecule obtd. by the reaction of A or B with a 4-60C carboxylic acid, and a compd. (D) obtd. by the addition of an alkylene oxide to an esterified castor oil with residual hydroxyl groups in the molecule obtd. by the reaction of castor oil with a 4-60C carboxylic acid. A polymer obtd. by the thermal polymn. of a reaction product obtd. by the esterification of a 12-24C unsaturated fatty acid with at least one selected from A, B, C and D, is used as a lubricant. The 4-60C carboxylic acid is capric, stearic, maleic, trimellitic acid, etc. |
