Preserving citrus fruit by a new surface treatment is claimed. The treatment method is similar to existing methods but uses only natural substances or those which biologically decompose. Small quantities of an extract of natural tannin and curd soaps are added to the wax to impede the growth of fungus. Preservation time is controlled according to amounts.
