The compressor plant makes use of the heat arising for heating purposes, and consists of two independent compressors in a boiler. The two compressor units are driven by an electric motor. The boiler (5) has a cylindrical casing (5) containing the cylinder (13,14) for the two cpmpressor units. There may be four cylinders in a circiform arrangement, and the pistons are driven by two shafts (3,4) at 90 deg to each other. The axes of the boiler drum and cylinders are vertical. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compressor and boiler arrangement uses waste heat from air compressors to heat water and two compressors may be driven independently, with only one or both of them in use.
