<p>PURPOSE:To measure an accurate distance in a short time by sending a dummy noise which has a high autocorrelation characteristic to an object of measurement, receiving the dummy noise reflected by the object of measurement, and measuring the distance according to the value of cross correlation with a convolutional noise obtained by convoluting the dummy noise by a specific coefficient. CONSTITUTION:The dummy noise with the high autocorrelation characteristic is sent to the object of measurement and the dummy noise reflected by the object of measurement is received to obtain the value of cross correlation with the convolutional noise C(t), so the largest cross correlation value is obtained according to the dummy noise with a shift quantity corresponding to a propagation distance. Then the cross correlation value is convoluted with the specific coefficient by shifted dummy noises, so that coefficient, i.e. the shift quantity of the corresponding dummy noise can be found according to the obtained cross correlation value. Consequently, the accurate distance to the object of measurement can be measured in a short time according to the found shift quantity.</p> |
