PURPOSE:To pick up an X-ray image having a wide dynamic range by providing plural detecting elements whose light receiving areas are different from each other corresponding to one picture element and taking the detected result by optional one plural elements out of the plural elements as information on the variable density of each picture element. CONSTITUTION:A detector array 1 is formed by arranging plural sets of the detecting element groups 11 and 12 consisting of the plural detecting elements Sa-Sc whose light receiving areas are different from each other. Then, the respective detecting elements groups 11 and 12 are made to correspond to one picture element respectively and the detected result by the optional one or plural elements out of the respective detecting elements Sa-Sc in the respective detecting element groups 11 and 12 is adopted as the information on the variable density of the picture element, so that detection limit in a high dose area is extended. Thus, the X-ray image having the wide dynamic range is picked up.
