A needle guide (10) includes a hub (12) and a needle (14) connected to the hub (12). A stylet (40) may also be provided for insertion into the hollow interior of the needle (14) to aid in the insertion of the needle (14) through tissue. The needle (14) has a transverse breaking section, preferably a groove (22), adjacent to the hub (12) which will break when a transverse force is applied. Optionally a handle extends from the hub (12) over the needle (14). A hinge is provided in alignment with the needle breaking section to permit the handle to be flexed relative to the hub. <IMAGE> |
