<p>PURPOSE:To effectively remove sulfer oxides and nitrogen oxides from combustion exhaust gas by blowing an exhaust gas processing agent such as a slurry of urea solution of calcium carbonate or calcium hydroxide, or urea-impregnated calcium carbonate into the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The processing agent for exhaust gas consists of fine powder of urea-impregnated calcium carbonate or calcium hydroxide, or of water slurry of these powder. This agent is prepared by mixing a urea solution with calcium carbonate or calcium hydroxide, drying the obtd. slurry into a cake, and pulverizing the cake into fine powder. By another method of preparing the processing agent for exhaust gas, urea solution slurry of calcium carbonate or calcium hydroxide is used. The processing agent for exhaust gas is blown into combustion exhaust gas to remove sulfer oxides and nitrogen oxides in the gas or to remove sulfer oxides, nitrogen oxides and hydrochloric acid in a batch from the gas.</p> |
