PURPOSE: To effectively attain evaporation operation by providing a gas supplying means for supplying a drying gas, a solvent supplying means and a monitoring means. CONSTITUTION: The monitoring apparatus 36 which monitors finish of an evaporation cycle within the vessel 16 is disposed at a lower tubular part 32 of a vessel 16. When a liquid sample is present in the lower tubular part 32 of the vessel 16 before finish of the evaporation cycle, beams 38 are converged between a radiation source 37 and a detector 39 and the detector 39 sensing the conversion emits a signal. When the evaporation operation is finished, residue 40 of solid or liquid staying at a bottom part of the lower tubular part 32 attains a level lower than the beams 38. When dose transmitting at the lower tubular part 32 of the vessel 16 is reduced, the detector 39 emits a signal of finish of the evaporation operation. When evaporation within the vessel 16 is finished, most of residues stay at the lower tubular part 32 of the vessel 16. Residue on the inwall is washed-off with a solvent out of a nozzle 22. Thereby the vessel can be effectively cleaned. |
