To produce this seal for sheet-metal sliding roofs of motor vehicles using an extruded, flat strand which contains a metal insert, the strand is bent to form a bordering element and is adhesively bonded in advance to a layer of fabric, thereby enclosing a hollow sealing strip lying against the strand. Before the layer of fabric is put into position and adhesively bonded, the strand is deformed in the direction of the final profile of the bordering element. |
