New polysaccharide deriv. is claimed, wherein one part or all the H atoms on the amino or hydroxy gps. in the deriv. are substd. by gp(s). of formulae (1), (2) or (3). R has 1-30 C and at least one centre of asymmetry. Also claimed are a method of sepg. racemic deriv. by using the new cpd.; a sepg. agent contg. the new cpd.; a sepg. agent contg. the new cpd. and a carrier; and a sepg. agent contg. the new cpd. having chiral gps. on its side chains as main component.
