PURPOSE:To easily change processing contents by writing data in an EEPROM of a control and monitor device from an external device. CONSTITUTION:When data is sent from a personal computer 7, a control and monitor device 1 receives this data by a communication port 5 to write data in a PROM 4. This, data is a data table indicating control items and monitor items. A CPU 2 reads in the data table written in the PROM 4 by the program written in a ROM 3 and performs the control and monitor processing. A commu nication line 6 may be detached when data write is completed, and the control and monitor device 1 is operated completely independently after one data write because data written in the PROM 4 is held regardless of cutting-off of power. Thus, different data is written to easily and freely change the operation of the control and monitor device.
