A stepping motor wherein a following formula is satisfied: Wr2=Ws2+/-(x2-ny2), where Ws2 is a tooth width of magnetic pole of a stator, x2 is an interval of adjacent magnetic poles of the stator, Wr2 is a tooth width of pole tooth or a rotor, y2 is an interval of adjacent pole teeth of the rotor, and n is an integer not less than 2.
