PURPOSE:To change a gradation relation only by changing the contents of a conversion table by providing the conversion table between a picture memory and a look-up table. CONSTITUTION:A conversion table 3 defines the size of picture data as an address and regulates the gradation relation with the address of a look-up table 5 as stored data. The contents of this conversion table 3 are reloaded by a CPU 2 receiving an instruction from a console 1. In the console 1, a maximum display value and a minimum display value are designated and the CPU 2 prepares the contents of the conversion table 3 and changes the contents of the table 3 with these maximum and minimum values as references. Thus, without changing the contents of the look-up table 5, the gradation relation can be freely changed only by changing the contents of the conversion table 3. |
