PURPOSE:To prevent carrier from adhering to a photosensitive body by disposing a detection means for detecting the movement and the stop of the photosensitive body and separating a developer applying device from a bias voltage source so that an electrically suspending state may be obtained when the detection means detects the stop of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A reversal development means 16 includes the detection means 28 for detecting the movement and the stop of the photosensitive dody 2, and the detection means 28 detects that the movement of the photosensitive body 2 is stopped because a copying process is completed or what is called paper jamming occurs, etc., at such a time. According to the detection, the developer applying device 20 in the reversal development means 16 is separated from the bias voltage source 30 to get in the electrically suspending state. Even when the charge of a specified polarity exists on the photosensitive body 2, the carrier in two-component developer on the developer applying device 20 is not attracted to the photosensitive body 2 with the charge and the carrier is prevented from adhering to the photosensitive body 2. |
