The cover forms an enclosure of transparent material, preferably hard plastic, closed at the top and side, with means for fastening it to the machine and in which the active sector of the disc is contained. The sides of the enclosure are movable and automatically adapt to the thickness of the article to be cut. The cover includes a mouth for suction of the dust generated inside the enclosure and means for illuminating the cutting area. It prevents accidents through contact with the saw, the projection of pieces and dust, and facilitates the operator's view. <IMAGE>
