PURPOSE:To obtain a molded product having no cavity or protrusion due to the slackening of a synthetic resin sheet and having excellent appearance by making a thermally softened synthetic resin sheet vertical to hold the upper side part thereof and molding a skeletal mold assembled into a desired shape so as to extrude the same from the single surface of the synthetic resin sheet in a lateral direction. CONSTITUTION:The one side part of the synthetic resin sheet S heated and softened in a separate heating furnace is temporarily fastened by pins 31a... to droop the synthetic resin sheet S in front of a support frame 3. The upper side part and side parts of the synthetic resin sheet S are held and fixed by clamps 1, 4. A mold base 20 is forwardly moved to the front of the support frame 3 by an expansion and contraction apparatus 21 to be brought into contact with the rear of the synthetic resin sheet S along a lower mold base 2b and an intermediate mold base 2C. The forward movement of the mold base is once stopped and the lower side part of the synthetic resin sheet S is clamped by a clamp 5 and, thereafter, the forward movement of the mold base 20 is reopened to allow the mold base 20 to reach a predetermined position. The synthetic resin sheet S is cooled in this state and the respective clamps 1, 4, 5 are subsequently opened to perform demolding. |
