The present invention relates to an elastic device for holding, substantially without play, the rotation spindle of at least one annular mechanical element rotating in or on another element. This device essentially comprises a plurality of members 1 in the form of dishes 4 joined together by elastically deformable tabs 2 projecting from the same side of a plane containing the members 1, so that after the members 1 have interlocked in annular elements such as gears, these can rotate in another element about a single axis of rotation which is imposed by the elastic deformation of the tabs 2 bearing on this other element.
