Rule applied to cataract surgery for calculating the power of the intraocular lens to be implanted in the eye of the patient as a function of its parameters and of the characteristics of the implant, characterized in that it includes: - firstly, a slider (C), or part which can move relative to another fixed part (F), on which parts are displayed, on the one, respectively or inversely a scale for keratometry (K) and, on the other, a scale for displaying the constant A of the implant - secondly, a slider (C') or part which can move relative to another fixed part (F'), on which parts are displayed, on the one, respectively or inversely, a scale (P) for the power of the implant and, on the other, a scale (L) for the length of the ocular globe - lastly, a slider (C"), or part which can move relatively to another fixed part (F"), on which parts are displayed, on the one, respectively or inversely, one or more positioned markers (R and R') for the value of the power of the emmetropising implant calculated earlier (represented by the digit 0) and markers for the desired refraction and, on the other, a scale (P') making it possible to read off as a function of the desired post-operative refraction the value of the power of the lens to be implanted in the eye of the patient. <IMAGE> |
