PURPOSE:To enhance the strength such as the torsional strength or bending strength of the whole by embedding a reinforcing fiber composed of a knitted structure of 20-45 deg. oriented continuous fibers in a crossing direction and a 0 deg. oriented continuous fiber through a pipe part and a flange part in a matrix. CONSTITUTION:A flange forming part 8 is formed to a sleeve-shaped reinforcing fiber 6 composed of a knitted structure of 20-45 deg. oriented continuous fibers 6a, 6b in a crossing direction and a 0 deg. oriented continuous fiber 6c. Next, the sleeve-shaped reinforcing fiber 6 is mounted to a mandrel 11 to form a pipe forming part 7. Thereafter, the reinforcing fiber 6 mounted to the mandrel 11 is set to a mold 12 having a continuous pipe molding cavity and a flange molding cavity and a matrix is subsequently infiltrated in the reinforcing fiber 6 and curved to obtain a desired pipe fitted with a flange made of a fiber reinforced composite material. |
