<p>Miniature light units (10) with push-in bulb assemblies (23) are mounted on a multi-wire cord (17) in an arrangement providing a ''chaser'' set. The push-in bulb assemblies (23) plug into the socket (20) of socket housings (19) which provide wireways (18) for the cord (17) and multiple guideways (27) for pairs of push-in contact elements (26). The contact elements (26) bridge cutouts (17b) in the cord wires (11-14) provided in a predetermined pattern, there being one cutout (17b) in each light unit (10). The bulb assemblies (23) have lead wires (49) extending across opposite side faces (45b) so as to engage the contact element (26) regardless of which of the guideways (27) is occupied by the contact elements (26). Jaws (54) at the ends of the wireways (18) clamp the cord (17) against movement relative to the light units (10) when the socket housings (19) are assembled.</p> |
