An electrode unit (1) for high-frequency thermotherapy which comprises a heat exchange tank (2) and an electrode (12) disposed in the tank (2). The tank (2) is composed of a transparent outer tube (3) and a cap (4) detachably fitted to the tube (3), and is provided therein with a liquid inlet (5) and a liquid outlet (6) for circulating a circulating liquid therein. The tank (2) is provided with a vertically movable rod (11), and a disc-shaped electrode (12) is fixed to the lower end of the rod (11). The rod (11) and the electrode (12) are formed of electric conductors and the surfaces thereof are coated with an insulator.
