PURPOSE:To realize the stabilized movement of a carriage and the stabilized supply of ink without enlarging the size of an ink supplying device by a method wherein the ink supplying device is provided with a needle type tube for supplying ink, which moves while expanding a space between terminal surfaces of elastic tongue pieces in accordance with the movement of the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A needle type tube 10, projected to the lower part of an ink head 33, expands and penetrates a space between the terminal surfaces 9c, 9d of a pair of elastic tongue pieces 9a, 9b and the lower part 10a of the same invades into an ink tank 7 formed in a guide member 31a whereby ink in the ink tank may be supplied to a printing head 33 by the capillary phenomenon of the ink in the ink tank 7. The tank 7, which receives the ink, is not positioned at the side of the carriage 32 and, therefore, the change of weight of the side of the carriage 32 due to the remaining amount of the ink is not generated whereby the movement of the carriage 32 may be stabilized. On the other hand, a tube for supplying ink is not necessary and, therefore, the device will never be enlarged in the size thereof and the supply of the ink will never be made instable whereby good printing may be effected. |
