PURPOSE:To prevent defective fixing as well as to obtain high image quality by using a dry toner having 6-8 mum volume average particle size and common paper having specified surface roughness. CONSTITUTION:A dry toner having 6-8 mum volume average particle size and common paper whose surface roughness is <=13 mum ten-point mean roughness (2.5 mm measurement length) measured by a method stipulated by JIS B0601 are used. In the case where the particle size of a toner is small, the toner penetrates into paper, the heat insulating effect of the paper becomes unnegligible in a fixing stage and the toner dropped into the paper is not fixed and causes black stain when the surface of the paper is rubbed after copying. In order to prevent this defective fixing, the dropping of the toner into the paper is prevented by regulating the surface roughness of the paper to <=13 mum. |
