<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain the subject compound as a medical drug by using H-[3-(3',4'-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-hydroxypropionyl] anthranilic acid ester, dehydrating in the presence of acid and subjecting to alkali hydrolysis. CONSTITUTION:An N-[3-(3',4'-dimethoxyphenyl)-3-hydroxypropionyl] anthranilic acid ester expressed by formula I (R is lower alkyl) is used as a raw material and subjected to dehydration in the presence of acid such as toluene sulfonic acid or sulfuric acid to obtain N-(3',4'-dimethoxycinnamoyl) anthranilic acid ester. Next, resultant ester is subjected to alkali hydrolysis and protecting group of carboxylic acid is removed to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula III. Besides, the raw material compound expressed by the formula I is synthesized by reacting a compound expressed by formula IV with bromoacetyl chloride and resultant compound is reacted with veratram aldehyde in the presence of zinc.</p> |
