A visible marking (80) is provided within the frame spread out by the viewfinder optics. Ae sensor provides measuring values appertaining to the region designated by the marking. A rectangular liquid crystal plate (16) reproduces the marking at various positions in the viewfinder. A control (31) selects the positions at which the marking is shown. The sensor can provide values for range finding or exposure. A coordinate control unit (17,18) is assigned to the control (31). The manual selector is a touch sensor element with distributed touch sensors. USE/ADVANTAGE - Automatic focussing and/or exposure camera. Spot measurement can be made enabling subject part of interest to be preferred without having to pivot the camera and change the composition.
