The method locates stored medical data of a living creature using a search key in the form of biometrically measurable data which represents a primary key stored manually or automatically with personal data. The search key is determined biometrically by applying a biometric measurement system to the living creature. The measured key is associated with a similar stored key with which the medical data were stored. The personal data are thus made available. USE/ADVANTAGE - For fingerprint and eye scan data. Enables great time saving to be made to reduce complexity of manual operations and ensures safer medical treatment.
