Tool has concentric cylindrical housing which acts as exhaust chamber and is fitted with exhaust valve. Shank of tool extends through gas-tight seal at top of housing and at bottom of housing a sealing ring closes around drill bit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Drilling tool for removing hazardous fluids from containers has gas-tight housing. The machine oil is emptied from refrigeration compressor through drilled hole into open drum. When drilling tool is used to drill hole, HFCs (hydro-fluoro-carbons) cannot evaporate from the oil and escape to atmosphere.
