The intra-oral implant consists of two parts. The first part is in the form of a hollow cylinder with an internal screw thread in the upper part. This screw thread runs into a conical bore (7) in the lower part. The lower part has external ridges (4) and a rounded end (5). The wall of the cylinder has two diametrically opposite holes from which slots (2) extend to the rounded end (5). The screw thread receives the second part which is in the form of a screw with a conical end which is driven into the conical bore of the cylinder. The longitudinal slots enable the cylinder to be expanded radially as the screw is driven in. USE - Intra-oral implant.
