A process for humidifying spun spools is based on a trough-shaped steam chamber (2) arranged immediately beside a spinning machine (1) parallel to the row of spools (15) of the spinning position (14). Thus the spools (15) are taken from the spinning positions (14) to the steam chamber (2) by means of an ordinary extractor (17) and, after the humidification process, the spools (15'') are transported from the steam chamber (2) to the conveyor (16) of the spinning machine (1). The humidification process is thereby integrated into the flow of materials in the spinning plant. The storage time of the spools after humidification can be predetermined within wide limits. In addition, the installation requires the minimum amount of space and no additional manual handling of the spools. |
