PURPOSE:To suppress deterioration such as putrefaction, fermentation, aggregation or separation of a casein-contining substance by blending the casein- containing substance with a stabilizer composed of the secondary phosphate, glycine and propionic acid (salt). CONSTITUTION:A casein-containing substance is blended with a stabilizer composed of (a) a secondary phosphate, (b) glycine and (c) propionic acid or a salt thereof. Examples of the casein-containing substance include casein itself, liquid milk, milk powder, creams, condensed milks, animal liquid or solid substitute milk, etc. Among them, substitute milk for immature animals, etc., are preferred as the object. The blending ratio of the aforementioned stabilizer is preferably such that 0.1-5% ingredient (a), 0.5-5% ingredient (b) and 0.05-0.5% ingredient (c) are contained in the casein-containing substance. |
