The detector of seeds to be sown is designed to be accommodated between the two flanks of a ploughshare (6) of the seed drill. It consists of a sealed housing (14) attached to an air capacitor in which the electrodes (15) and (16) are carried by two insulating plates with the distance means (23) and (24) for attachment by clamping. Electronic means are provided to eliminate the effect of fragments of earth between the two electrodes on the recognition of the seeds in question passing through.
