PURPOSE:To increase the rate of release of a photographically useful reagent and to improve the shelf stability of a silver halide photographic sensitive material by incorporating at least one kind of photographic reagent represented by a specified general formula into the sensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of photographic reagent represented by general formula I is incorporated into a silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula I, X is H or a group convertible into H by hydrolysis, Time is a divalent combining group, PUG is a photographically useful group, V is a group represented by formula II, R0 is alkoxy, etc., R1 is H, an aliphatic group, etc., R2 is H, etc., and each of m and n is 0 or 1. The rate of release of a photographically useful reagent is increased and the shelf stability of the sensitive material can be improved.
