<p>The apparatus automatically winds coils of longitudinal size greater than transverse size. The apparatus provides for the reciprocating oscillating movement of a form, or winding holder (F,11), by about 180 degrees. This is achieved by meshing a pinion (15) from a geared motor (12,12a) with a toothed half-ring (19) having a fixed central portion (19a) mounted to the form (F). Two symmetric outer wings (19b,19c) are hinged at both sides of central portion (19a). The wings are capable of tilting alternatively by gravity as soon as they are not supported by an arc-shaped stationary guide (34) which is coaxial with the half-ring (19).</p> |
