<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a water hammer from occurring by installing a nonmetallic material tube, rich in elasticity, forming a flow passage, a cylindrical sponge attached to an outer circumference of this tube, and a case housing this sponge and being connected to a pipeline, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A water hammer preventer 1 is attached to the point midway in a pipeline. This preventer 1 consists of a tube 2 forming a flow passage, a cylindrical sponge 3 attached to an outer circumference of the tube 2 and a case 4 housing the sponge 3 and being connected to a pipeline. The tube 2 is made up of coating a two-layer tube whose inner and outer layers are of highly elastic thermoplastic elastomer or this highly elastic thermoplastic elastomer to the inner part of a rubber tube. Thus, a pressure rise and a pressure vibration are directly transmitted to the tube so that a water hammer preventive effect becomes very good.</p> |
