The invention consists of a parlour game simulating a race in which the trajectories are diagrammatically represented by successions of segments plotted on a circuit with no marking, each new segment being definable in terms of length and in terms of direction only as a function of the last one defined, and each end segment representing the position of a racer after one progression. It employs a progression device comprising two indices (1) and (2) and a removable plate (3) which is movable and connected to one of the indices which is also movable, the shape of the plates (3) simulating technical characteristics. The device, through the interplay of the two indices, makes it possible to take the reference of the last segment plotted, the positioned plate making it possible to choose, from its entire surface which is offered, the point of arrival of the new segment, both in terms of speed and of direction. <IMAGE>
