PURPOSE:To maintain traction control sensitivity in a constantly excellent state by a method wherein according to a deviation between estimating lateral acceleration being to be generated and a car body and actually generating actual lateral acceleration, a set value being a decision reference for a drive slip is varied. CONSTITUTION:When the drive slip of a drive wheel (a) exceeds a set value (b), during the occurrence of a drive slip, a drive slip is prevented from occurring by at least one of an automatic brake means (c) for braking a drive wheel (a) and a drive force reducing means (d) for reducing the drive force of the drive wheel (a). In the above vehicle, based on a car speed (e) and steering information (f), lateral acceleration being to be generated at a car body is estimated by a means (g). Meanwhile, actual acceleration of a car body is detected by a means (h). According to a deviation between estimating lateral acceleration and actual lateral acceleration detected in a manner described above, the set value (b) is varied by a means (i).
