PURPOSE:To prevent an air conditioner from falling off and facilitate installation of the air conditioner, by a construction wherein a fastening piece having a reverse L-shaped hook part is provided at either one of an upper end of an installing plate and an upper part of a back face of a main body of the air conditioner, and a notched part for engagement with the hook part is provided in the other of the two members. CONSTITUTION:At the time of installing an air conditioner, an installing plate 2 is attached to a wall surface 3, engaging recessed parts 7 of a main body 1 of the air conditioner are hooked on support arms 5 of the plate 2, and support pieces 8 provided at lower parts of the main body 1 are attached to receiving pieces 6 of the plate 2 by screws 9, whereby the air conditioner can be mounted on the wall surface 3 in a vertical position. At the time of connecting a piping, a lower part of the main body 1 of the air conditioner is lifted up by using contact parts between the arms 5 and the recessed parts 7 as a fulcrum, to provide an appropriate spacing between the main body 1 and the installing plate 2, and a piping 10 is connected. A reverse Lshaped fastening piece 13 of the plate 2 is located above the fulcrum, so that when the lower part of the main body 1 is lifted up to a certain level, the fastening piece 13 is engaged with a notched part 16 in a back face 1a of the main body 1 to prevent the recessed parts 7 from being disengaged from the arms 5. |
