PURPOSE:To obtain the toner which has excellent negative chargeability and good light resistance and forms a bright magenta color by incorporating a halogenated quinacridone pigment into the toner. CONSTITUTION:The halogenated quinacridone pigment is incorporated as a part or the whole of a coloring agent into the toner and is so incorporated that this pigment acts as a charge control agent. The halogenated quinacridone pigment is obtd. by the cyclization reaction of 2, 5-bis(halogenated anilino) terephthalic acid then by solvent processing. Further, the pigment processing thereof is possible by adding various kinds of water-soluble resins, surfactants and other additives into the toner. The toner which has the excellent light resistance and negative charge characteristics and forms the bright magenta color image is obtd. in this way. |
